polo gt tdi fault

Featured Replies

hey guys,

has this fault on and off for a while now, but more so now its getting cold, i get the glow plug lgiht flashing up, and the engine managment light on, with my code reader i get g28 engine speed sensor implausible po321, so i unplugged the crank sensor, flick the igniton and and went to crank, but of-course wouldnt fire up, same dash lights on, but with fault codes po322, which appears to be no signal, am i right in thinking this is a crank sensor fault? but when shes been started and ran, fires up all day long no problems :wall:

any ideas guys?

cheers

Hi.

Engine ecu will default to run off either crank or camshaft sensor if one fails

Thanks, but today she starts fine, ordered a new crank sensor but ain't 100% that's my probem

got my new sensor today, resistance between pins 1 and 2 are 465 ohms, the old one still fitted reads 476 ohms, so im in two minds to attempt to fit it (right ball ache by looks of it!)

with ignition off i get 0.22v across each pin individually

ignition on i get 2.52 v across each pin individually

any ideas?

cheers

shes still playing up, more so with the cold

had vag com on but still no real joy, does anyone know where the crank sensor wires go, ie straight to the ECU? or even better a wiring diagram?

thanks danny

Engine won't run off camshaft. It will run off crank only but will have excessive crank time as won't have quick fire cylinder recognition.

I thought that also, but still doesn't give me much more insight as its not permanent and ittermitent :(

Crank sensor isn't to bad to swap, get it from underneath.

Might as well fit it as you have one, not had many wiring faults for the crank sensor on the Fabia.
