Anything electrical is definitely not my thing hence why i ask this question.....

I need to extend the wiring for the heated wing mirror glass as i have just swapped them out for some blue ones. I have the connectors but i always get slightly confused about exactly what wire i need to extend. What sort do i need ie 5 amp , 8 amp etc ???

They were Mark 4 originals and the connectors are in a different position so i need to extend the wires by a few inches.
