Phone menu randomly disappears from Maxidot on engine startup

Featured Replies

I have Superb II 2.0 Estate Elegance and have paired my Galaxy 2 mobile with no problem. The issue I have though is that randomly when I turn the engine on the Phone menu on the maxidot disappears I can still access the phone via the Columbus and still receive calls no problem - but I can do nothing via the Maxidot. Unfortunately this means no phone settings and no text messages. It is really bizarre. I have actually seen the menu option disappear in front of me when going from power on but engine off to turning the engine on. If the menu does disappear it will then remain unavailable until the next time I restart the engine. I would say this happens about 50% of the time and I can not for the life of me work out why. A helpful chap on here used his VCDS when I first got the car and thought there might be some power/fuse issues with the car which I need to get check out but thought I would check here in case anyone had any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

My old Superb MK2 used to do the same, never bothered me though because like you say you can control the phone from the columbus. If I needed to do something phone related on Maxidot then it got done before starting the engine.
