BT Vision HDD swap

Featured Replies

Had BT vision for years now, since it came out, and I got a silver box which came with the original sign up, which I got for £0 as they were pushing it out at the time, and a brand new boxed black box I acquired from the local dump, complete with LAN Socket adaptors and unopened remote for a fiver ;)

Problem is both HDD's are near the max and I was wondering if I could just swap 'em for a larger capacity (1 or 2 Tb) disk? Had one out and looked at it on the PC, but couldn't work out if the OS was on it (WinCE AFAIK). Can I just bang in a new SATA HDD and have no errors?

I had BT Vision a few years back and wanted to do do the same.

BT use their own software so it won't be a case of just slamming in a bigger drive, sorry.

Ask Nick, am sure he'll be able to help you with all things BT ;)

You might find that you can Ghost the old drive to a new drive as well.
