Electrical gremlins?

Hi all, my 2005 VRS has developed a few electrical issues.

Most importantly (& dangerously) the wipers just stop working. Happened twice now, both times in heavy rain with wipers set to normal continuous operation. 1st time was on a motorway so slightly frightening. After some fiddling they started working again (which made us think it was us not the car!), however it occurred again yesterday!

Next, the oil service light came on. It's not due a service until March & hasd only done 6k since last March.

Finally, both electric windows have a mind of their own, working in fits and starts & occasionally going the wrong way!

Thinking we might have an ecu glitch or a fuse issue with the wipers.

Any suggestions gratefully received.
