Ok I know this has been discussed time and time again , but I in Two minds of what to do!.

I have a Vrs pd170 and was thinking about getting it remapped as it pretty bad driving around town and in traffic,

My wife toyota is more enjoyable to drive around town etc! Now i believe a remap will sort out this issue and also give me more poke!

Now do i remap and remove the DPF, or do i just go for a basic remap????. Some peole say removing the dpf does not make much of difference! I have spoken to a few tuning companies,Shark included but cant get a define Answer to my Questions So i Would really like to hear from any of you Guys who have had remaps done with and without the dpf being removed! Thanks all hope to hear from you all!

removing the dpf will gain a few extra bhp as its less restriction once removed but the main reason to remove the dpf is when it fails the cost to replace with new is around 2k

When my DPF is regenerating I find it much harder to drive the car smoothly.

After it has finally finished messing about it is like a new car and is so rewarding to drive.

The increased rpm and over fuelling really spoil what is otherwise such a great engine.

From the feedback on here from those who have had it done I'd get it removed ASAP, I just can't justify £450 right now (DPF removal and stage 0 map).

You say your VRS is pretty awful about town and you believe a remap will sort this out?

Yes Aremap will improve driveability which is the key !
