Delivery time seems a little long?

Featured Replies

Or is this normal?

Request date 28 August - new revised delivery date 21 January, 'due to the volume of orders at the factory'.

Surely vehicles are made in the order that requests are received?

**Sorry - have just seen the 'Waiting Room' forum. Apologies for starting a new thread**

Production of the MkII Octavia is being wound down to make room for the new MkIII.

And demand is rising due to people wanting a fl mk2 after previous pcp plans expiring.

Are they still taking orders on the MkII?

Mine was ordered June 2011, built December 2011, took delivery January 2012; 7 months.

I think my almost-5-months is now unworthy of sympathy!

I would have thought stock orders only as I had heard that the factory had started producing Mk III Octavias now. http://www.carsessio...production.html

I called a local dealer today to try to get some more info and he's sort-of backed up your theory. The Mk3 production is now well underway and orders for the 2 are being pushed back. Coupled with specific additions, an increase in overall Skoda orders plus model-specific production schedules, delays seem to be the norm right now.

He cited an example of one poor guy recently who wanted a particular Roomster, only to be told that there are NONE in the UK....
