Octy vrs cr tdi limited edition arriving next week!

Featured Replies

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Steve from Sunderland and although I've 'officially' been signed up on here for a few years (I owned a mk1 Octy vrs from 2007-2011) I've been away (to Ford, I've had a focus ST for the last year). Anyway, I'm coming back from the 'Dark Side' I pick up my mk2 Octy vrs limited edition (diesel) next week and I can't wait! It'll be a step down in performance from the Focus ST, but with the focus I'm averaging 18mpg and it's practically bankrupting me! (Plus the build quality of the Ford is nowhere near as good!)

Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm glad to be back and if anyone knows anything about number 411 of the limited edition I'd be interested in finding out a bit about the car's history (I believe it was originally registered in the Nottingham area...)

Cheers

Steve

Welcome back to the fold, Steve. :) Nice car coming!

Cheers, I'm really looking forward to getting the Octy, don't get me wrong, I'll miss the performance of the Focus ST, and the sublime engine note, but the Octy is a much nicer car to be in! I should be picking it up on Friday, nice Christmas present to myself! ;)

Enjoy your vRS and welcome to the forum

Thanks, it's good to be back!

treat it to a remap, and you'll get a bit more performance without too much compromise in MPG ;)

I'm tempted! Maybe in the new year... ;)

Picked the car up today, a few niggles that I need to get the dealer to sort (sticking rear wiper, cracked rear reflector) but all in all I love the car! Not 'quite' on the same level of performance as the focus ST I traded in, but SO MUCH TORQUE! =D

Steven,

Stop playing with the torque, you went through enough gearboxes on the last one ;)

Alex, didn't know you were on here. Loving the car, think I'm a diesel convert now! ;)

welcome back
