Octavia Mk1 1.6 AVU - how do I adjust drive belt?

Hi - my Octavia gets a recurrent flat battery and although the battery itself seems OK I've noticed the drive belt is running a bit loose. Can this be adjusted manually via the tensioner unit or do I need to do something else? M

the tensioner is automatic,you can't adjust it.

If the belt is loose you need a new tensioner

I'd try a new belt on it first

I have a 1.6 tdi 14 reg fabia estate. The glow plug light is flashing if i accelerate up to 60 and i lose power. Been in garage had turbo cleaned and all boost pipes checked. I had a reader on it with code po299 underboost?? Its still doing it. Any suggestions as to what it might be?

Rain sensing wipers or not

We have a Dec’ 23 SEL which I expected to have rain sensing wipers. There were some spec changes between and delivery but no idea if this was one. The intermittent wipers appear to operate on time and not quantity of rain on the screen. The wipers also give a single wipe on occasions when turned off, most days they don’t do it but some days it is every two or three minutes when it isn’t raining. I guess there is a fault in the system somewhere but you can bet it will behave properly when

Hey, i was just thinking is it possible to unlock line assistant and road sign reading options using just a simple obd tool from amazon or any ordinary one? Or is it just specialised ones can do it? I know there is a service down in England ( only 1 I found so far) who does this sort of service. And this leads to important question, if I could do it myself, what are the odds i could completely mess things up? Or it is very easy and trouble free. Thanks
