Bluetooth and MDI queries

Featured Replies

Two things...... first i have the mdi and an ipod nano and it plays nusic fine but i cant see to search through the ipod only one song at a time. I have the Swing radio and its only shows fld up, fld down and top but none of them seem to allow me to browse playlists. Do they have to arranged in some specific order?

And secondly looking at getting OEM bluetooth i have been looking at the kits available and while the all look the same/ very similar in appearance the part number for the module vary a lot are they the same or is there some to to avoid etc etc etc

I can get a kit through a friend and its part number is 5K0 035 730 SW:1020 HW: H09

Oh and its to go in a 2012 fabia VRS

Any advise much appreciated guys

Do you not have a Browse button (i think second from right) when a song is playing... on mine that allows me to browse through tracks with full names/dir's and then select what track/album i want to listen to. You can then use the dial on the right hand side to spin through the directories and press it to select an album.

Hi I was having a play this morning and I do have a browse button but it seems that I can only browse through songs there are no other folders available.

On mine I can select by song, artist, album, playlists.

With mine (although im using a USB stick with MP3's), you press the browse button, then the middle buttons are Top and Up and you press those to go up the directories, then use the second spinny button to scroll between the playlists or whatever.

Worked the same i think when we first tried it with an iPod, so should be the same.

Out of interest how do you have your playlists arranged ?

Mine on the USB stick are the same as apple directorys, so Artist - Album - Songs. Not play lists as in the apple sense, more a copy and paste of the directory from the iTunes dir on the PC.

The other halfs ipod/iphone i have no idea... but it reads the play lists fine on that (although wouldnt play half the stuff due to the file format i think!).
