Hi all,

I have a bit of bother with the driver side central locking. My car is a manual locking car and when i lock the car from the driver side, the front passenger side locks then immediately opens again. The back passenger doors and the boot stay locked.

If i lock the car from the boot, all the doors stay locked. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

Sounds like a microswitch issue I does the interior light and dash warning light work for all doors when opened?

Hiya, the light goes on and off with the driver door, but not with the passenger door. I don't think I have a door open light, never seen one up on the dashboard

Definately sounds like micro switch, check the pinned posts at top of the forum for a comprehensive guide to replacing the switch.

Personally I am not convinced it is a microswitch but more a problem with the central locking convenience unit. Could be wrong but either way the guide will help you remove door panel and get to the locking mechanism.

Even if you just end up swapping the locking mechanism for a second hand one
