2nd 3 button remote key

Featured Replies

Went to the service department of my local Skoda dealer and was asking about accessories for my other half's forth coming Citigo. The sales dpt had quoted me list prices for the mud flaps, nets etc. when i asked about a 2nd 3 button remote the said it would be £200 to buy and code to the car.

I then went over to the service dpt and asked for the same accessories and they will give me at least 10% of majority of what i wanted. The 3 button remove was quoted at £94.00 coded.

Easy to do yourself.......I've just converted my 2 button remote to a three button for about £23!!!

Ask Robert on this site very good chap to deal with......just email him with your remote number, car spec......you will need to seperate the remote from the transponder/keyblade....as if you are replacing the remote battery............to get the number ............hang on it might be written down the side of fob where the key sits in storage....

Anyway Keyservice is the chap

linky....

I think the op was just talking about purchasing a 3 button remote, not turning it in to a 2 button one. Nice to know it can be done though.

Thanks for the replies,

Yes I am going to purchasing a spare 3 button remote with the Citigo when we pick it up in March.

So a bit confusing with the dealer prices there, how much are they saying it will cost out of interest?

I think I was quoted over £100 but I can't quite remember exactly, could have been more.

The sales team quoted £200 which I was told was the price of an Occy flip 3 button remote coded to the car.

The parts chap said £65.06 for the key and £28.08 for the coding.

keys and remotes are a one part item now, much harder to do now
