Hi folks,

Just started to have the ASR and ABS light come on, no real pattern to it but it is becoming more regular.

If the car is restarted the lights will stay off (sometimes) and not always for the whole journey.

After doing a search, I guess this could be one of the following:

*faulty sensor/some dirt

*MAF problems

*brake fluid levels

I've not looked at the fluid levels, but just had it changed about 1k miles ago (will look in the morning). I did recently change to a carbonio intake, so I guess that could have messed up the MAF, also, scraped on a large speed bump the other day so that may have messed up the sensor...

Anything else that I'm missing? I will take it into the dealers tomorrow to see if there are any codes

Sounds like a sensor problem. It used to happen to my car but I got the problem rectified. Take it to a dealer.

Hi... I found the reason for this

I tracked the error back to the cables in the pack at the top of the battery not being properly connected. (found that somewhere on t'internet these are powering the ABS or something like that).

It seems that when I was fitting the CAI it wasn't connected back properly (and it looks like the clip is broken). I blame my mate who helped me

If you get the same problem... make sure you check these
