OK, just getting into this chat malarky, it's quite good fun I've sussed out Skype (Adrian - don't even start ) but have a couple of questions about Messenger:

Is Windows Messenger the same thing as MSN Messenger? If not what's the difference?

On the website user control panel, where it asks for 'MSN Messenger Handle' - is this your email address that is attached to your Messenger (passport?) account? :confused:

When you look at someone's profile - is that the 'instant messaging' bit?

windows messenger and msn messenger are the same but the msn one is just a newer shinier flashier version with pretty buttons

and yes its best to put your e-mail up as some people seem to change their name all the time

No, WM and MSNM are not quite the same thing - ditch Windows Messenger and get MSN if you can.
