Electric windows

Featured Replies

Has anyone had problems with electric windows - just started to get clicking noise in nearside front door panel as though window is fully up and you are pressing the window switch for it to actually go up.

This happens even though none of the switches are being used.

This evening the same thing is happening with the near rearside door. You can eventually use the switches and the windows will go up and down,

Any ideas?

Thanks

it sounds like the cog teeth on the winder motor are worn but the first thing i would try is spraying some silicone in the rubber window channel they might just be dirty and causing resistance to the glass movement hth

just read the post again and your not using the switches so i would look at the drivers side switch as this powers both windows i do believe so it might have a sticky contact.
