Skoda Superb 2.5 TDi Edition 100 sound system

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have been trying to identify the sound system fitted to my car, however despite ringing my 2 local Skoda dealerships & giving them my registration details they have been unable (or unwilling) to help.

From my previous post you will see that I am attempting to have the Parrot MKi 9200 fited to my car, however this has caused problems because of the 'active' amplifier in the boot and the installation expert reckons that there isn't a telemute lead on the market for my car, although he does reckon that the Audi lead "should" work but I would have to pay for it upfront & if it doesn't work then it couldnt be returned

I would be grateful to learn of anyone out there who has either fitted this handsfree system to their car or knows for definite if the Audi lead would work. (Is this the BOSE system in my car?)

Also if anyone knows of any links to the above queries I would be most grateful.

Kind Regards,

Scooby

It isn't Bose (you'd have badges everywhere).

Some info here about what the Amp is used with Passat MFD, I believe this applies to the Edition 100. You can see the amp itself under the parcel shelf in the boot.

You will almost certainly have a much easier time getting hands free input direct to the back of the MFD, there is a specific pin I believe for a line-level signal out of a hands free kit, no good for music though (mono). You can control volume of phone via MFD menu.

Green plug (in between the blue and yellow):

Pin 7: telephone +

Pin 11: telephone mute

Pin 12: telephone -

You could then use an Aux-in box to the multiway connector on the back of the MFD to allow aux in audio and video to the MFD, selectable from MFD menus. An interface like this:

Note I haven't done any of this myself, just some info for you or your tame installer.
