Leasing delays.

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone else has / is getting a CitiGo on a personal lease?

I ordered mine back in October, 60PS Elegance, 5dr in red, black interior with no options and was given a provisional delivery date of 7 January 2013, with a lead time of 8-10 weeks (7 Jan was the ten week limit).

I contacted my leasing company mid December for an update and was told the dealer was still expecting a late Dec / early Jan delivery.

I contacted the leasing company again on 3rd January, they chased up the dealer and then got back to me rather sheepishly and said the dealer told them the car was still 'in build'.

Judging by the posts in this forum the dealers would have known about the delay to delivery, do you recon that the dealer has given the car that was ordered for me to a private buyer who was better placed to badger them, or that they've just lied to my leasing company about the time needed to get the car? Either way a pretty poor show and I'm still car-less in the process. :(

Ian.

There was a period late last year when Elegances weren't being built, so it is probably not the dealers fault.

Aye but surely when the leasing company checked with the dealer at the end of October they should have known that?
