Rear wiper problems on new cars

Featured Replies

Just bought my third new Octavia in four years (I do like them), but for the third time, the rear wiper packed in within a day (oh - and the hazard lights are also flashing in the middle of the night on this occasion). The dealer is always very good - and embarrassed - by the fault, and treat me very well (which is why I keep on going back) but why does this happen all the time?

PS - I'm told that sales of the Rapid are, um, very slow...

The rear wiper is an old and well known/documented issue that Skoda don't care about enought to rectify.

Already a few posts on this on this page and the next!

At least it's not just me. Many thanks.

I can imagine on your first Octavia you must have though, sheesh, this is unlucky on such a new car.

On your second Octavia you must have thought, blimey Skoda, what's going on, pull your finger out and get this issue fixed!

With your third Octavia I'd be writing a letter to Skoda asking whether or not they bother to improve their vehicles over their life!
