thank you.did not know what it was.i found u can turn it on or off

In maxidot yeah, lane assist iirc.

Techno agnostic here!

What is maxidot, sounds like a paint defect on an old austin car!

Please enlighten me (although I may completely ignore if it's simply a technological gimmick).

On rare occasions I can be persuaded to enter the 2100 century but you will have to be very convincing!

It's the computer in the centre of your dash cluster.

Thought so, preferred the old speedo with the moving numbers!

Does anyone know if you can stop the sat nav showing on the 'maxidot' as i would prefer to look at the nice colurful map in the middle of the dashboard and see when the petrol warning light is on in the cluster. I find I get to my destination quicker if I have diesel in the tank with or without the sat navs assistance!

Also, am I right that the vRS does not tell you when your windscreen washer bottle is empty? - I ran out a couple of weeks ago with a windscreen caked in grit smear and didn't see any light - think my MG metro in 1986 even told me when the washer bottle was empty! If this is the case I'll be even more impressed as I love simplicity and means that i will check the level more regularly rather than waiting for it to be almost empty - I'm sure this is just another safety feature developed by those clever guys at Skoda!

Press the up or down switch on end of wipper stick for min 3 seconds then.you can sellect mfd in the main menu this will return you to trip comp.

Only Octavia's with headlight washers get the warning light for low screenwash.

The only vRS to get headlight washers are the one's factory fitted with xenon headlights.
