Vibe amp - protection mode

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a Vibe Slick A3 amp. The other day I had the door off and the driver's speaker out. I have been having issues with what sounded like the passenger door. So I thought whilst the drivers speaker is out I would test it. I turned it up quite loud and the amp turned off and went into protection mode (red light indication)

I have unplugged it, re-plugged and checked all the fuses to no avail! I spoke to a vibe dealer and they said take it out for 24 hours and try again.

If that doesn't work, what do I do!

I expect you were clipping the crap out of it and it went into protect rather than going up in smoke.

As the dealer said, leave it a while so all the caps can discharge etc and try it again.

Does it say in the manual what the light means? Some amps flash in difference sequences to tell you different things
