Wierd wipers - only rear

Featured Replies

Okay so my wipers randomly started playing up whilst taking our lass home tonight. When i push the stalk backwards, it operates the rear wash/wipe. Yet when i pull forwards, it still operates rear wash/wipe. This would be okay if i drove everywhere backwards.

Any ideas or something similar happened? I did notice its exceptionally cold tonight, but would it really affect fuctioning like that?!?

Cheers

Hi m8

Had the same problem a couple of weeks back . The washer bottle had frozen and when I went to wash wipe windows the fuse blew for the life of me I can't remember what fuses . If you do a search on window wiper fuses u will get the ones you need to change and also put a bit of warm water in window washer bottle .

I will have a wee search to see if I can find fuse numbers

Hi m8

Check and replace mini fuse number 15 which is 10 amp

Regards Whoosh

+1 my car did this last year and it was the fuse I now keep one in the car just in case lol. also when you replace the fuse and defrost the system i found that the pipe had popped off the top of the pump in the engine bay so the washers werent spraying on the screen.

my car did the exact same thing today mate, take off the fuse panel cover, its a 10 amp fuse 3 in from the right 3 down (i think) guarantee its blown :)

you need to be increasing your screenwash concentration levels lol less water more screenwash this will then stop the pump freezing up and wont blow the fuse

Sat in mine the other week with it just at idle. Pushed the stalk to wipe the rear but it wiped the front. Switched the car off and back on was still doing it. Came home replaced all the relevant fuses and it sorted it.

Sent from my car with "Jewish parts"

Sorted it after work. I usually just run screenwash concentrate. But i ran out on the go, and had none in the car.

So glad i read this! Happend to me today exactly the same thing. Changed fuse number 15 and works fine.

Cheers guys!
