Door warning light

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a problem with the door open warning light staying on. Car has had diagnostic check which pointed to n/s/f door lock assembly but after this was changed, problem still occurred, any help would grateful, car is 2008 Fabia.

Hi yeah the diagnostic points to the door lock when in actual fact it is usually a fault with the window motor(also known as door control unit)also check the wiring below the a pillar in the door shut as I have seen a broken wire there cause this too. If you take the interior door panel of to expose the insides, best way to determine its the window motor is have the door open but flick the latch closed and the door warning light will stay on(the fault you are experiencing),if you pull the connector off the window motor the door warning light should go out. If it does go out you know it's the window motor(door control unit)at fault sending a faulty signal
