Ahhh

As per title I've snapped my key not in the lock thankfully - what do I need to do to get another blade ? Can they be cut at a conventional lock smith?

Feel pretty dumb now

there's a seller on ebay, can't remember his name now, that can sell you a blade for the fob. They're easy to swap and it can be cut at a locksmiths.

Hopefully somebody will recall his name.

Don't laugh but I have a strap attached to my keys the sort you can put around your neck, anyway I stood on it whilst it was in the ignition....
