VRS does not like starting when slightly warm

Featured Replies

My mates VRS has been having a few problems lately and he has asked me to ask you guys....as i have no clue

It starts when warmed up first time starts when cold first time...but if he has only done a couple of miles and pops to get fuel it takes a while to start and idles high...also in this cold weather the temp gauge never seems be in the middle its like a quarter up

any ideas? temp sensor maybe?...oh one more thing theres alot of vaper coming out of the exhaust id say it looks like white smoke but i dont think it is...drove up his bum all down the motorway to see if it was spitting oil but it seems not...may just be the cold weather

coolant temp sensor

I had the same problem the other day when filling up but have recently changed the coolant temp sensor with a vag dealer one. No eml or codes have popped up but i was getting fault codes before i changed it.
