I have a 99 MY 1.6 GLXi.

The drivers side electric window has appears to have dropped off its mountings.

I got a thud when winding it down and it dropped quickily. Now it wont come back up. Something whirrs when using the switch. I need to remove the door trim to see whats wrong, and I need to know how this is done.

Any help much appreciated!

You need a new window regulator, common problem on the Octavia and Fabia (athough different designs)

Thanks for the replies. I got the door trim off and the motor is making a right racket when operated without moving the glass, which is still in its cradle.

Is it possible to get the glass back to the top of the window until I can get it to the dealer?
