Found one ....IF it's still for sale, but it's down in Wandsworth, S. London.

Why are cars that take your fancy always at the other end of the country, regardless as to where you live ey?

Sent an email asking if it's still up for grabs, and IF it is I was wondering if I should employ an independent inspection company to go and have a butchers at it, to save me all the hassle of going down there on a possible fruitless journey?

I'm in the AA, but imagine they'd be wanting monster money, so can anyone recommend an independent from down that neck of the woods?

I'm afraid thats the norm, to get the best ones you have to travel. Can you not trust your judgement as to whether this will be a decent car?

Yea, i can trust my own judgement, but it's what you find when you get there after a long and arduos costly journey that worries me.

Ad's don't always tell the full truth unfortunately.

Car sourced, purchased and driven home from Solihull yesterday without any incidents accidents or breakdowns.

She's sweet and simple.

Big round of applause from me has to go to Footman James, who realised the market for teenagers was virtually out of reach now for the majority, and have actively done something about it, where all the others have failed most miserably, and that goes for these 'black box' technology nonsense promoters too. :moon:

£3500? You are havin'a bloody laugh!

TPF and T came out at an extremely, and almost unbelievably reasonable £461. :o

No mileage restrictions, and breakdown cover thrown in for good measure. too!

Car, which is in essence, an investment, plus insurance = less than insurance only for driving Mrs Rees car for 12 months. Crazy but true.

After following this story from the beginning am am very happy it's had a good outcome for you :)

Sounds good.

Hope it does the new driver proud.

Insurance is good, I was paying around £88 FC as they have a very, very low rating for some reason.

When I changed to a 1934 Morris 10 my insurance doubled!

Good news then on finding a Minor, all we need now is piccies.

What's happened to Moggytech lately I've seen no posts from him.
