Featured Replies

Yes :bouncer: just booked in for the 21st August am and Coley booked for pm. That will be a day to remember

Everyone at Jabba are really friendly; they're really enthusiasts just like us!

Enjoy your day but watch out for the Plod and speed cameras on the A1/M.

Cheers Adrian for advice on cameras and plod.

Carol didn't even ask for a deposite.

Yeah - when I booked they didn't ask either, also rang back yesterday to induction kit to list - no problem at all.

Very friendly, really looking forward to meeting them, but looking forward to the drive home more......and in preparation have just treated myself to Snooper S6-R GPS/Laser/Radar "Safety Alert" system :D

Can I ask what sort of induction kit you are getting as Mike told me the std one was very good and not worth changing. Do you mean change the flat filter for one of his? Any other goodies?

Chris

Dave,

Remember, remember, the First of September....

OK, it's wrong - but I'll be expecting fireworks, because that's when I'm booked in :bouncer:

That's strange he told me he only recommends the flat panel type to replace the std in-the-box filter. Sounds like the full CAI kit for around 250 then? What does he say it will do for you?

Chris

Chris,

Jabba do their own CAI although it's really designed for the Golf; Golf have insulation on underside of bonnet and this makes a good seal for the heat shield.

Wish I had a turbo, then I could get all these lovely toys for mine :(

Some flexible ali hosing or other from the grill to the air box intake in the inner wing.

Sounds like you haven't but not a problem just asking......have you noticed any difference after drilling out the grill?

I probably will fit some flexi pipe when I've done the CAI; will drill out the grill but won't put the piping from the grill but probably somewhere a little higher so I don't duct in dirt/water.

More air coming in the grille should be good unless it contains debris and water of course.

I should wait and see where the intake of the new one is. By all accounts it is so close to the grill below the headlight you won't need it. Did Mike suggest otherwise?

I cant see any advantage in adding ducting as the air can't escape anywhere.
