I know it's cold,....but

Featured Replies

I know it's been snowing and freezing but a couple of late Christmas presents arrived and wanted to try them. The car was covered in salt and not washed for a couple of weeks. Read many reviews here and other forums. Went for Nilfisk C110, Autobrite foam lance and Magifoam, all for under £130 delivered. First impressions......should have bought it years ago. Well impressed. Better do the wife's car now...........

My nilfisk C110 arrived today (ordered it on Monday night) but not used it yet. It seems to be the weapon of choice for serious car cleaning.

Can I fill the plastic bottle thing with snow foam and get quality results? Seems everyone buys a foam lance that's nearly the same price as the nilfisk its self!

Might try filling plastic bottle with cheap Asda car shampoo and see how that works.

From previous reports, IMO, to get true foam that sticks and soaks which is the point of the exercise, a foam lance is the only true option. They are as you say expensive but if you work out the cost over the amount of use, relatively cheap. I haven't tried the plastic bottle supplied with pressure washer yet but well impressed with everything else.

Good luck with the first trial and don't forget to keep the frost away from it. Let us know how you get on,q a perhaps post a few pics.

Just noticed that my pics aren't on my post. I'll see if I can get a few up.
