If I get an intercooler fitted, do I need to map it straight away? Or can I wait until I've got more funds in place?

Just to confirm I brought a Forge FMIC with the intension of getting it mapped this month, but with it being Jan everything went wrong (mrs car broke then my engine mount went). So ive ran my car for about a month now and no change except it runs alot cooler which is never a bad thing!
