Cigarette lighter - no power

Featured Replies

Hello,

The power to the (fake) cigarette lighter stopped working after one use of a cheap phone charger being plugged into it.

My Octavia is only 5 months old. Could I have damaged something? Any idea on fixing it?

Thanks in advance

Mine did the same thing anyway was in for a service on Monday and asked them to look at it ,when I picked car up it was working perfectly they said they just pulled the contacts out as hey weren't touching cig lighter...however cheapo phone charger still not working when plugged in but sat nav etc does

Thanks

I would check the fuse as it sounds like it might have blown

+1 this member is quite correct, as I have blown these cigarette fuses whilst setting-up a permanent power source to TomTom sat-nav.

Thanks. Never occurred to me that it would have its own fuse!
