Brake pad rubbing on disc

Featured Replies

I have noticed a rubbing sound coming from front near side wheel. At very slow speed you can hear it making a rubbing noise on each rotation of wheel. It gets faster as car picks up speed. Doesn't always happen - but often starts after applying brakes. I assume one of the pads is sticking on to the disc. I only bought the car last month and I think it has been standing around for a few months. The caliper does have rust on outside.

Any advice gratefully received. Car still (just) in warranty.

Many thanks

Car is 1.4 S superb II twin door (and I love it!)

Back to the dealers with it! I suspect your diagnosis is correct, but if it is that new (to you) and under warranty then let hem sort it.

Check for stone's first ,, or as its that time of year grit ,i have had this a few time as of late .

Thanks for all the advice.

Check for circular scoring around the brake disc. Might have a little stone trapped in the calliper.

Or you could have a slightly warped disc
