hi guys

got a slight problem with my fun as i turn left it clucks several times but i cant seem to drr anything out of order ?

also wen turning right (nearly full lock it does it too but wen u turn left even ifr slightly it mainly does it )

any ideas?

^ Agreed, mine failed recently & quite quickly from first suspecting a problem.

so can i still drive it ?

it should be ok tbh, its pot luck, they could fail in a week, or they could last 2 years like it

ok ta tom im gonna get it done but cant til end of the week

and i only do about 30 mile tops in the week

its when you are doing full lock that it puts when under the most stress

Out of interest what happens when they 'go'? Un-drivable? Just wondering because I'm planning on running mine into the ground and just wondering how much time I'v got left.

They sometimes break up, you might ruin the gearbox if it's catastrophic.

My near side CV failed in less than a week from first noticing the distinctive noise. It worsened very rapidly eventually just leaving the driveshaft freely rotating & hence no drive! From what Tom's said sounds like I may have been lucky this time, if you can call breaking down & having it low loader'd away lucky :wonder:
