Arm Rest

Featured Replies

Hi

Is there a manufacturers arm rest for the Octavia Ambiente TDI or do I have to get a generic one?

If there is part no & supplier would be useful.

Thanks

Colin

You want a proper Skoda one from an Elegance or L&K spec car, or you can get one from a mk4 Golf. Avoid cheapo versions on ebay.

cheap ones are poo got a dealer one trimmed up by mj interiors :) be lost without it 176 all in with re trim

Does the Armster Armrest come inte the inferior/cheapo category?

imho, if it isn't a Skoda/VW one, then yes.

If you buy a genuine item, then it easy to mount and to get the correct plastic trim for it.

Hi mate,

I was looking at this myself, but was cautious as according to the application fitment checker on the ebay ad, it says it is not for a vrs, could it just be the plastics at the base are different and the rest still fits?

was looking at these, looks identical to oe from the one i had (except its not leather) what do we think, could it be that bad?

The final picture (in the car) shows a different armrest. The initial pictures (top section/arm) look very similar to mine. I dunno about the mounting leg bit as I have never touched it.

The vRS and L&Ks are leather trimmed, where as this will be fabric, so maybe that is why. I can't see any other reason why it should not fit.

Vw golf's and bora's have a different mounting foot and need modifying to fit a octy, due to the cigarette lighter position, also the outer plastics are different.

Have you tried a wanted ad for one? Got mine from a member on here as he didn't like it for a cheap price, I just had to send him the blanking bit :D

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

Plus it must be worth scouting around the local scrap yards - I have seen them in the past.

bugger, it looks the same, but now you mention the lighter socket it makes sense, i remember someone on here fitting a golf one i think, and having to adapt the leg too.

will keep hunting

They won't last 5mins, there's no metal for them to mount to so the first time you lean your arm on it, it'll probably come loose lol

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

Bloody tapatalk messing up when I edit a post!

Theres nowt but plastic for you to mount any aftermarket armrest, so youll end up with loads of holes or broken plastic.

well they have a cover, that goes over the left and right hand side of the console, and i assume screws in, i know what you mean, but at the price it might be worth a punt..

Give me a call luca, may have a solution to this. :bandit:

ohhhh,

i like the sound of that phil!

i know you do things properly so it should be good:>

that seems a lot for a scrap one, how much are they new then?

Do you still want one of these? I have the arm-rest in my car and wouldn't miss it, particularly.

It isn't in pristeen condition: the cloth covered lid was broken off by son clambering about, but I still have it. A bit of ingenuity could make it whole again, I expect.

If you are up for that, I could swap with you for your blanking thing. You'll have to foot the postage, though. And tell me how to get it out without breaking something. I'm guessing crowbar would be the wrong approach.
