newbie with turbo prob

Featured Replies

Hi new to skoda i have a octavia 1.9 tdi 08 with suspect turbo problem, had it pluged into a mates computer and no fault codes came up??.The car drives perfect as it should but every now and then theres no power and then when you try to rev it it sounds like its hitting some sort of rev limiter, turn it off and start again all is fine for a few miles.if any one could help it would be much appreciated thanks.mike

It sounds like it's entering a restricted power or limp mode. Afraid I don't know much about the Mk2 Octavia so I'm not sure whether this is a common issue (or indeed the case, but it sounds limp-y).

Was it scanned with VCDS or a generic code reader? You may find VCDS gives a different result.
