Glowplug light staying on

A friend of mine has a problem with his Fabia TDI. The glowplug light stays on when the engine is running. The handbook says it's a problem with the glowplug system and to contact dealer.

Does anyone have experience of this and can maybe shed some light on the problem.

Also worth checking that all the lights work too as I believe it may mean a bulb has gone (brake light bulb?) :D

Yes, could be the brake light bulb/switch. My Polo did the same.
