Skoda Octavia vRS 2007 few issues ( A/C and high oil consumption

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm a current owner of a Skoda Octavia vRS sedan 2007 for the last 12 months.Great car to drive I've started to find a few little issues with My A/c and have noticed high oil consumption.

Local mechanic found the following faults:

Hi and Low side pressure. Pump and extension valve faults.

I'm worried it could be a compressor? Volkspower in Burwood mentioned it could cost between $800 - $200 for compressor.

The A/c does work on days under low 20 degree temperatures. Anything over 25 deg it’s as good as useless. Thoughts?

Bought car with 85,000 and have had the car serviced at 90,000 k's as suggested. The car currently has 95,000's and I've had to fill the car twice with oil since the service. The mechanic said nothing to really worry about - only tiny bit of oil in turbo. Is this common for this model?

Any thought's or recommendations would be appreciated.
