So looking at it today, seems the 3 door one will also fit as the edges are covered in the Skoda anyway, no?

yep a 3 door should fit also as the overall floor pan is the same

I have one that I fear I will never get round to fitting due to new arrival

Pm me if your interested

Take it there is a brace there?

Just cut the carpet there. That way you can slot it round. It all hides away anyhow. No point making it hard for yourself and dismantling more than you need to.

That is exactly what I did. You never see that bit and makes life much easier.

me too! its all covered so no problems hiding the cut!

Do you have to take out the center console hand brake trim etc???

If not I might get round to fitting it

Totally do have to.

I'd say you do, but could be wrong.

Not had the time to tackle mine yet so will likely be at the weekend and will update my thread

it'll only take 30mins to remove!

I have one out a Leon I'm hoping to fit this weekend weather permitting along with a recaro interior,no more cream/white bits, except the door cards, only put up with the cream carpet for 6 years now, better late than never.

You could always dye the door cards, although the darkest they're ever likely to go with the black dye would be a medium grey. I keep meaning to get mine retrimmed to suit my interior, but things like lack of money keep throwing up obstacles...

Ultimately I'm having the seat inserts and door cards re trimmed in quilted leather with a double cross stitch

Honestly, I'd look for better seats first. The vRS squabs don't last very long (collapse easily) and don't offer particularly good support. Nice S3 seats or some of the decent Leon/Toledo interiors can be picked up for much less than it will cost to retrim all the seats.
