Will the engine take it?

Featured Replies

According to the Superchips website, their remap would give my 6 month old 1.8 Tsi Superb a 47BHP (160 to 207) and 98Mn (250 to 348) in crease in performance. My question is...will the engine cope with that? Now I know there are some on here that don't particularly rate Superchips, but it is just around the corner from me and so convenient. THEY say the engine could cope...but they would, wouldn't they!

Regards.

Mines coping fine with over 300 bhp and was mapped at 9,000 miles by Shark Performance. No oil use between changes and no issues whatsoever. It's now on 30k. A decent stage 1 remap is what these engines need IMO. Oh, and I'm one of the ones that wouldn't touch Superchips with options like Shark Performance maps being readily available. :-)

I went superchips, £320 all in, lovely smooth map, great service. Thats on my fabia vrs mk1 though.

Many thanks.

Yes, the engine will take it but if you drive aggressively all the time the transmission won't.

There are more reputable companies such as jabbasport and oscarli
