Southampton City Council are expecting the roadworks and diversion to cause a lot of problems for motorists and have advised that drivers leave extra time for any journey they have to make over the three day period.

Can't find anything about it not closing, only that it's now going to be shut for 32 hours. Reason; to increase camber for water drainage.

The detour for the motorway traffic looks fun - when I lived down that way, Eastleigh was busy enough at rush hour as it was. Still, it's probably all that Huhne fella's fault (everything else seems to be ).
