No the closest vw dealership is in Inverness but there used to be a garage with vw dealership here so will try them after I come home from work. Thanks

If you have vcds you can see what the sensor is sending to the ecu and temp gauge as there's 2 separate feeds

Right I've changed the coolant sensor and scrapped the prongs in the water tank and all seems to be going well, that's day 1 with no light lets hope day 2 is the same!

I had this on mine the other night. Engine wasn't started in 8 hours and outside was 2 degrees. As soon as I started the engine I had the light on with bleeps. Coolant is spot on level etc.

I unplugged the plug on the bottle and plugged back in and it hasn't done it since. It's the first time it's done it since I've had it from new and now on 61K.
