I'm tempted with some different alloys for my MK1 VRS. I'd just like some recommendations. I would also consider going up to 17" alloys so long as I don't have to mess with the tracking and gearing.

17's would have to be 205 - 40 - 17 ..... use an online converter to check sizes before buying ....

tracking shouldnt be effected by wheel size ... speedo may be if its not done propper though

Handling seems a little better as they're a little lighter than the standard wheels

From what I've been reading, as long as the bigger rims have the same tred width it won't be any different and nothing will need adjusting. Is this correct ?

Going up to 17" does feel slightly different,coz you've got lower profile tires,so a little harsher.

Also if ya wanna go down the 17" route it'll look like a monster truck unless its lowered slightly. .

Id say get some fabia 2 vRS alloys. Not many people have them on a mk1

There 17" 5x100 so yeah there a direct fit. . .there is a few out there with em on already. But rarer than tt comp wheels or octy spiders

The black car in that thread looks like its not far from standard. . Probs -25mm springs. . They make em look how they should have come standard. .not on the huge suspension it came with XD

Personally I think Spiders look the best on a Fabia
