What fuel economy to expect from 2.0 CR TDI?

Featured Replies

Hi

As title says, I am interested in knowing what fuel economy to expect from a 2.0 CR TDI.

I am particularly interested in the consumption at 130kph/80mph, since that's the speed limit here on the motorway.

Additional question is if anybody has seen better fuel economy with a remap on such an engine?

Have thought of buying one, and since more than 90% of the commute will be at that speed, it would be nice to know from people who have tried it :hi:

If you don't have data at 80mph but at 75mph that's of course ok - I don't want you to break the law :bandit:

Thanks in advance

Managed an average of around 37mpg in mine over the time I had it but I didn't drive everywhere at 80mph.

I get 59 indicated, 54 actual on my 280 mile weekly trip down from Scotland

Average 37mpg (calculated)

Commute is 10 miles, three through town and seven at (ahem) similar speeds to that which you describe.

On a 100 mile trip at nun speeds I averaged 50mpg indicated. I can get 40+ if I drive a half decent distance and drive somewhere in the middle.......

I 'heard' that a 'friend' with the same car drove the 10 mile journey I travel to work each day at about 99.9999999 mph a couple of times and got an indicated 31/32mpg

On the motorway at 70 to 80 I get around 55mpg. 35-40 round town. That's a vrs cr 170. Great to drive.

Daily commute of 95 miles on motorways with about 5 miles on A road I get about 52 MPG on computer. This is done at between 60mph and 75mph depending on traffic.

When visiting relatives in Holland I cruised at 130kph when I could and got 45mpg over the trip. This was 2 adults, 3 children and fully loaded estate.

motorway and local combined and not shy with the pedal in a DSG is giving me w combined of around 39-40

As per my sig below.

My vRS DSG CR consistantly gets 45 mpg as a monthly average with a mixture of motorway/city driving.

Is that at 75mph approx? If it is, it is quite nice, actually

i get 47mpg on my 20 commute which is a mix of roads and heavy traffic

It is a VRS on a DSG Box

Mine returns 46/47mpg on a decent run. Is a vRS CR DSG estate with about 700 miles on the clock; I expect it to be able to return early 50s once its bedded in a bit but 47 is whats claimed by Skoda.
