Pre cat removal on vrs

Featured Replies

Anyone removed the innards and refitted? Any lights on, thinking it as a cheap mod as decats and sports cats downpipe are so expensive :(, this way I can remove a bit of restriction and keep the Oem cat

have you looked into pipewerx downpipe & decat?

I have this setup on my TFSI Golf ;)

Don't worry guys found all I need cheers, as for the pipeworx it's still more then I want to pay at the min

I have had the precat removed and went to stage 2, pushing 290-ish on 98 fuel.

The stage 2 also removes any alarm bells that you might get.

I done mine mate.

Removed the precat & drilled out the dodgy inside material.

No alarm bells & more mpg.

Trevor B33, what did you find?

A big thread On here and also mk5 gti.com most reporting the same things, improved mpg, no lights and slight more turbo noise :)
