yellow engine on dash

came on tonight, hasn't affected performace at all just a yellow engine on the dash. no funny noises/smoke/vibrations or anything. any ideas??

car is 4 years old with 100K on the standard exhaust/cat and remapped

Check with VAG COM for errors would be my first point of call.

Also doesn't that light come on when the temp sensor is FUBAR?

Or if one of the lambda probes has gone.

will take a drive to see my mate with a vag tool later, didnt think it was too serious as the car drives normal

I think "hasn't effected performance" is the key.

spoke to m e mechanic mate and i'm gonna pop over tomorrow during the day, he saus it could easily be a phantom fault that appeared during spirited driving and the ecu has logged it for attention

are those the spirits you were talking about in your thread " bored" ? :):rofl:

nope, wouldn't noticed the light then and if i did wouldn't have cared :D
