Featured Replies

Hi guys, my vRS TDi PD has had it's DPF taken out and has a stage 1 remap. What comes after a stage 1 then, is it another remap or so I need new things like a hybrid turbo? Thanks for your help

Lol the 18,000 miles a year kind of makes that uneconomical.

Really??, with the initial outlay for a derv then the fuel cost and servicing...

My petrol is cheap to run and i do about 20k a year.

Well I used to have a Leon FR TFSI, and now have the Octavia TDi, it's a lot cheaper to run for me.

I have no idea what constitutes each stage. My car rolling roaded with 212hp/360lb/ft and my particular car wasn't able to produce that with map tweaks alone. I assume you'd be looking at turbo, injectors and exhaust to get much more. I didn't bother - I figured it was much more important to sort out making the most of the power I'd already got, so I went for a limited slip diff, which transformed the car. I also did the EGR delete since, which has made it nicer to drive. Full spec of my car is here... http://www.briskoda....s/#entry2701142
