Hid / Headlamp level problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys need a bit of help, recently fitted my canbus hid kit and noticed that my beam was a bit too high even on the lowest level setting. So had a go at trying to level them manually and pass side worked fine. Got it to sit a bit lower but not low enough tbh, but the driver side is very high and wont move when i try adjusting it manually, it just moves slightly up and then down again and not actually moving up or down propperly.<br />So i was wondering what may be broken in the unit

Also if anyones had a similar issue or anyone know a fix for the problem?

If i dont find a fix ill have to revert back to old school bulbs :(

The 6000k kit i fitted looks nice too B-) shame for 50quid to go to waste!

Let me know what you guys think :-)

Hi mate, i had this when i fitted one a while back. Went back to standard bulbs myself.

Is the part that locates it plastic or metal? Mine were plastic and by the looks of it not moulded very well so it couldnt locate properly and sit level. Maybe worth checking out if they are plastic ones?

Yeah mate think they are plastic...

ill most likely be going back to standard bulbs then... Unless anyone can suggest anything else...

Gonna put my hid kit up for sale to get myself some other vrs goodie

If you look on ebay for metal based ones they are easy to find and would probably cost you £15 :).

You'd be best off buying some projector headlamps if using HIDs.

HIDs in normal lamps just look awful and is the cause of your incorrect beam pattern.

If you're going to do it then do it properly I think.
