Neuspeed Sound

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Quick question regarding my Neuspeed air intake. It makes a high pitched squeal sound (almost sounds like a supercharger when using throttle). Is this normal? Or could I potentially have an air leak?

Hi Stu08

I also noticed that noise on my mk2 Vrs when i first got it. It was evident everytime i pressed the clutch in to change gears. It sounded more like "ptssss" Odly though i don't hear it at all now, so not sure what it was?

Thanks for the reply VRS-R.

I have noticed something odd - which may be my imagination! If I pootle a lot in my car, when I open up the throttle it creates the high pitched squeal I mentioned. However, if I take my car for a good long hard run - it stops making the noise; or it becomes less audible!

That's exactly what it does with mine too! :) I was going to look under the bonnet to see if i could find out if an aftermarket blow off valve was fitted by previous owner, but i'm not too sure where to start looking?
