Hetti's got a broken nose !

Featured Replies

3 hours to go 2 miles on top of the moors between Whitby and Scarborough (A171) last afternoon/evening, due to lorries stuck in blizzard . Hetti's 4 WD working well until a steep (1 in 4) short descent.

I waited for the vehicle in front to get down and then edged forward, but said VIF stopped suddenly at the bottom. Hetti decided it was time for some tobogganing and slid slowly and gracefully into the back of it - a minibus with tow-bar at radiator hight!!!!! :@

Bumper cracked, grill damaged, bonnet bent, fog-light broken, etc, etc. At least she's still drivable. Bang goes my £150 excess though as Hetti's carted off tomorrow to hospital. God know's what tiny courtesy car I'll get!

And to think she's already in effect sold (in part-ex)!! :wall: At least it wasn't Hetti #2, but she wont be here till June.

Hey ho, the joys of winter motoring.

Horrid. But at least there is a brighter side.

Deep sympathy :( . Is Hetti the famous S123 of the March 2011 Surrey expedition? I hope she'll come out of hospital in good shape and fit to see you through to June.

I don't know about 'famous' but yes she was a member of that intrepid band!

Sorry about this, but at least no-one was hurt.

Can sympathise with you. My wife too had a shunt in November. Luckily no-one hurt and the other driver accepted responsibility so recovered my excess. Repairs were carried out to a high standard. Happy days. Surprisingly my insurance renewal has just come through at £10 less than last year. £185 fully comp, 9000 miles limit, with NCD protection and £100 excess!!!
