After fitting some alloys to my Felicia. The ones I have found are 15x7 et25 anyone have any idea if these would fit?

I have had 16x7 et25 alloys on mine before lowered 35mm at the time and they were fine so they should be ok, just make dont go wider than 195 tyres. I would advise 195/45/15 or 195/50/15 tyres.

On that basis, I'd also advise not going narrower than 185 section.

Was going to get 165 50 15 and planning on lowering it more than 35mm

165 would be quite a big stretch on a 7j and the handling would be terrible. Maybe a 185 45 15 tyre would be abit better, should allow for a decent drop

According to the Bridgestone pattern digest for 2008, 165/50R15 should only be fitted to 4.5J-6J wheels, with 5J being the recommended width. Similarly, 185/45R15 can be fitted to 6J-7J wheels, with 6J being optimal.

How low is it possible to go on 15s

How low is it possible to go on 15s

If you're asking about profile, I've just looked through for 7Jx15, looking for narrowest tread for each profile, (since that gets lowest sidewall in absolute terms), and found 215/40 or 185/45. It might be worth checking if any manufacturers do tyres in 205/40 and 195/40 since they fall in the valid range although aren't listed, none available from mytyres. Mind you mytyres don't have any in 215/40, and only one in 185/45. FWIW there's a fair choice in 195/45 including some which have a reasonable reputation.

Ment to ride height not tyre profile

Ment to ride height not tyre profile

I don't know the answer to your question, but then again without you saying what size tyres you intend using, no-one will be able to say.

This is for two reasons. First is the obvious one in that the size of tyre determines sidewall height, which in itself contributes to ride height. The second is that there needs to be enough room for the suspension to work. As the wheel diameter and width increase, and taking into account the additional size added by your choice of tyre, there needs to be clearance at the top of the tyre when the suspension is at maximum compression on all four wheels, and there needs to be clearance at full lock over the range of suspension travel for the front wheels.

If, for example you decide on 195/45R15 tyres then you will know the overall diameter of the tyre is very slightly less than the standard wheel & tyre combination. You've already been advised that 195 is about the widest you should consider, so if you search this forum to find what others have done in changing and lowering their suspension you'll have as good an idea as anyone else.

That is, it'll probably be a good starting point but you won't know if you've gone too low until you fit the new suspension and drive around a bit. You can sometimes hear and feel rubbing, but it is good to periodically check the tyres and insides of the wheel arches for signs of rubbing when you are experimenting in this way.

It would seem likely that some form of suspension kit that allows you to adjust the ride height would be a good idea.
