+1

Love these cars. My mate had one then sold it for a s2k. These gt4s do shift. Especially if its at 300 bhp :0

Chaged the oil today and its running alot smoother now :) all my mates have been amazed how clean it is for its age.....its previuse owners have certainly looked after it :)

God i miss mine. Sold it to get the vrs. Very nice car and probably one of the best fast turbo cars you can own. Change all the diff and gear box oil too i noticed a difference in mine when i did that.

Take it you are on www.gt4oc.net?? Great forum very helpful.

I should be going to this months meet at the motor museum.....albeit il have to park a wee bit away so i dont show all the skodas up ;)

Lovely car. So much better than the other "big boy" toys of its generation.

You weren't showing it off in Livingston today, were you

was going towards the Deer Park about quarter to 4 and spotted a celica like this outside a house in the Knightsridge area as I went down the 899

You sir, made my night. That thing sounds incredible. I want one. :giggle:

Thought that was you, i seen the brisky sticker an though **** it im following you even though it was totaly the wrong direction

And funnily enough my exhaust started blowing today to its a bit louder than normal at certian revs, aounds like a rally car when i lift off at about 3-5kwith all the popping and banging it does :D should hear it from inside though the turbo intake noise is mental :D

Did kinda think that when you peeled off at bathgate.

Had the window down on your second flyby (at 70mph ofcourse...), if that's the sound I heard, can only imagine what it's like inside  . Made it home in record in time and 'only' 39MPG average :giggle:

Might be getting my hands on a cheap n/a 2L GT one of these soon for summer fun, anyway, Ill stop dragging this offtopic :p.

  • Author

Might want to near enough double that when i went past ;)..... But how on earth did you get on my private runway? :giggle:

39mpg? I reckon i got about 19mpg at best on my way to coatbridge , i get smiles not miles to the gallon :D

Ohhhh theyv got the same superstrut suspention i think so theyl handle like there on rails, celica club uk is full of usefull info on them but tbf i dont think much goes wrong with them

Must have taken a wrong turn in the dark off of my parents extended driveway  .

MPGs all relative, thats poor for the lowly fabia :giggle: . Cant afford SPG , saving for: http://www.rust2rome.com/. No doubt end up on that forum, good to know theyre hopefully solid though, but only got a £500 budget hah.

  • Author

I looked into doing rust2rome last year but it clashed with my lads holiday :( really tempted todo it in the future, we were planning on using a honda prelude 2.2 vtec as itl be fairly quick, cheap and reliable :)

You definitely should at some point, be well worth it IMO. Prelude was on our shortlist before we decided on a Celica. Picked up an N reg GT from Sunderland today, seems solid enough for now, few niggles needing sorted.

Sorry, I'll stop polluting your thread and maybe make my own in a day or 2  .

Took a video so youl get an idea of the noise inside...not the best quality though
